The Good

• Secluded natural setting: Surrounded by bushland and mountain views, with eagles and otters often spotted nearby.

• Spacious sandy areas: When river levels are low, sandbars appear with tons of room to spread out.

• Naturist-friendly atmosphere: Nudity is quietly tolerated and generally respected by locals and rangers.

• Inclusive vibe: Welcoming to all, including LGBTQ+ visitors—especially at the western end.

• Close to town: Just a short drive from downtown Kamloops, yet it feels totally removed.

The Bad

• Seasonal flooding: River levels rise in spring and early summer, sometimes wiping out the beach.

• No facilities: No toilets, water fountains, or bins—bring everything you need and pack it out.

• Hot sand and glass hazards: Wear sandals or water shoes to avoid burns or sharp objects.

• Unleashed dogs: It's an official off-leash dog park, which can be a downside for some.

• Occasional sketchy activity: Remote location means you might see the odd lurker—stay near others and don’t leave valuables in the car.
