The water here is much warmer than other beaches in the PNW due to the tidal plains
Dogs off leash are common here
The area is well maintained by friendly and dedicated volunteers. There are steps to the beach, a garden and firepits
The Bad
The trail to the beach can be a little tricky
Walking on the train tracks to get to the beach is extremely dangerous. Caution must be taken as this railway line is very busy and there is little warning due to the blind corner - at most you will have 3-4 seconds to get off the tracks. You cannot hear trains coming from the north. Lives have been lost in the past
Seashells can be sharp and water shoes are advised
